6th Science Camp
What a joy! Tall redwoods, 140 6th graders, team building and all things science never disappoints. Thank you to everyone that made camp an awesome experience! See ya next year Occidental, Ca. Arrrgh!

Over 500 goals or habit accomplishments of leadership spirit decorated the quad for All Hands on Deck rotation. Thank you Pirate Lighthouse Team!
Advisory Anchor
This 8th grade Advisory chose an activity turned fun bus parent and student competition, followed by a CPR for their Advisory Anchor rotation.

The Pirate Poetry Action Team shared all things creative and impactful for their booth during All Hands on Deck rotation.

This 6th grade class rotated groups to share in detail about an assessment or project they were most proud of this year.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
STAFF ONLY:
- Grades: The grading window is now open. Please plan to spend prep with your team to ensure all ya'll have some grade entry support.
- EOY: Technology lock up and classroom check out info coming soon.
- Retakes: Last day for retakes is Fri May 24!
- Thursday Afternoons: Thurs 5/23 is dedicated to report card entry. Thur 5/30 is dedicated to some MS Pirate time at Urban Roots. Arrrgh you ready for the end of the year festivities?!
- Teacher Library Books: Did your class borrow library books from the library? Class sets of novels? Books for lit circles? They need to be returned! Please return them to Ms. Kidd by May 28.
- Student Govt Elections: Elections are May 21. This is an all Advisory/no enrich afternoon. 6th/7th will head to the Gym to listen to speeches and return to class to vote. 8th will not be attending and will instead work on college fair.
- College Fair: May 24 is College Fair! Please wear a college t-shirt of your choice to help bring on the spirit! This is an all Advisory afternoon. A rotation schedule will be provided.
- Q4 Trash Pick-Up: 5/22: Millet.
- Bike Month: May is bike month and we will continue our annual tracking and spirit of being active through pedaling. Think no more! Just pedal.

- 8th Grade College Fair: 8th Grade College Fair is Fri May 24. Help support our 8th grade Advisory classes by wearing a college t-shirt of your choice!
- No School: There is no school Mon May 27 in observance of Memorial Day.
- End Of Year Information: The school year is coming to an end. The last day of school is Fri May 31. Thu May 30 and Fri May 31 are early release days and students will be let out at 12 noon. Buses leave at 12:30 on both of these days and there will be no late bus.
- 8th Grade Promotion Details: We are so excited to celebrate all of our 8th graders! 8th grade promotion is Fri May 31 at 9am in the Gym. 8th grade students need to be on campus by 8am and gym doors will be opened at 8:30 for families to enter. 8th grade students are allowed to leave with their guardians following promotion. Please check in with your student's Advisory teacher or counselor with any additional questions.
- End of Year Activity Day: Students will be with their Advisory class on Thu May 30 for their end of year celebration. 6th and 7th grade will have their celebration at Westlake Park and 8th graders are bowling. Please check in with your student's Advisory teacher or counselor with any additional questions.
- Student Library Books: All library books are due back to Ms. Kidd on or before May 22.
