National Groundhog Job Shadowing Day for (Grade 7-8) February 1, 2019
National Groundhog Job Shadowing Day is a nationwide initiative that encourages professionals to provide job shadowing experiences for students. It is a program designed to give students the opportunity to experience the world of work outside of the classroom. Students see firsthand how the skills learned in school relate to the workplace. Job Shadowing is a short-term activity, typically four–eight hours that introduces a student to a particular job or career by pairing the student with a parent, guardian, relative, or career representative. This experience supports career exploration, an area our district supports from elementary through high school.
