Computer Password Portal Registration
The district has set up a registration portal so that students can reset their own computer login passwords when they have a memory lapse. Andrea and Kelly will be initiating this process with every freshmen student through their Learning Commons orientation. If you would like to initiate this process with your students, it is quick and easy. The link is http://pwdregister.fhsdschools.org:8080 . Students will need to know their log-in the first time. They will then be asked to answer 3 simple questions for future recall. The next time they forget their password the "Forgot Your Password?" link will prompt them to answer one of their questions. Check out a laptop from the Learning Commons and have students take turns setting up their registration. It might save you time in the future!!
Google Password Resets
School Google accounts offer many advantages for our students.....provided they are able to log in without complications. Your Learning Commons staff can now reset Google passwords for you. Andrea and Kelly are only a phone call away at extensions 4608 and 4622. If they are unavailable, try Kendra at extension 4574. If all else fails, please use the technology work order for reset requests.
Check Out Our eBooks and Audiobooks
Did you know the FHC Learning Commons has over 1400 eBooks and audiobooks for you to check out?! You can locate the selection under the Learning Commons tab by selecting "Find an eBook". Login and password will be the same as your computer password.
If you would rather read on a device, look for the Brytewave app and then search for Francis Howell Central. Need a quick lesson? We would love to show you more!
New Access Code for Easy Bib!
Easy Bib is an awesome resource tool. In order to provide data to support the purchase of this program, each school now has a coupon code that students and teachers will need to enter one time in order to sync their account to their school Learning Commons. No previous saved information will be lost. In order to ensure that students (and teachers) receive all premium services, please enter the code Central2015 before they use this resource for the first time this year. If you have any questions, please call Andrea or Kelly.
