Message from the Principal
It has been a great week at Westbrook as we returned back to our hybrid learning environment. We were impressed with students' ability to return and follow our safety procedures and protocols across the building. THANK YOU to all for ensuring that self-assessments were done daily so that we have a smooth transition into the building with our colder temperatures!
A big thanks to our PTA for their support this week as they provided our second virtual PTA assembly. A big shout out to Elaine and Christina with the PTA for helping to support all aspects of the show! Students enjoyed "Travel Tales" which featured story telling that took them for a trip around the world. It was a great show!
As we look to the upcoming weeks we will begin our winter benchmarks for students. Our early childhood(4 year olds) through second grade students will begin our benchmarks starting next week and we hope to complete all grades by the end of February.
Speaking of February, Valentine's Day will need to look different for students this year. There will be NO exchange of student Valentines in class. I am confident in our teachers to make Valentine's Day a special occasion with in class activities that will follow our safety procedures and protocols.
Registration for a change in placement (hybrid to GOAL, GOAL to hybrid) will begin in early February for Trimester 3. Please be on the lookout for communication from the district regarding the registration process!

Also, Kindergarten and 2nd Grade students are required to have a dental examination by May, 15th of this school year.
