Asociacion de Estudiantes Latinos
This Week with AdEL
We have an immigration program this Monday!
In 1492, Colombus sailed the ocean blue...so he was an immigrant, right? Come out to our program this Colombus Day, Monday, October 13th at 8 p.m to discuss immigration policies and views in our country today. This is an issue that is heavily affecting the Latino population in and out of the United States. It'll be a great time!
KAP Minority Showcase
The Kappas are having their annual minority showcase this upcoming Tuesday, the 14th. Make sure to come out and see all of the different minority organizations you have at your fingertips. We will be presenting as well! It will be in Mitten Hall at 7 pm.

Autism T-Shirt Design Contest <3
As an organization, we want to give back to the community. We will be participating in this year's Autism walk as Team Johnmelee! Johnmelee is Jennylee's brother, so let's go out and support and walk for a cure! We will be having a tshirt design contest! Make sure to put the team name on there and let's see what you've got. Details on the walk will be given out at our meeting.
YAS EMPANADAS
OUR FIRST EMPANADA SALE IS THIS MONDAY OMG GET HYPE YAAAS. Occasionally throughout the year, we make empanadas and sell them so that we can get what we need in order to keep AdEL running and buy you pizza and keep hosting events and all that jazz. BUT we need help making them. If you are interested in helping out with our empanada making, PLEASE text Melonie at 718-313-7844 so that we can sell them at our #migentemonday table from 11-3. We will be making them Sunday. It'll be a fun bonding experience, too! :)
We are Adel
AdEL stands for “Asociación de Estudiantes Latinos”. We are the Latino umbrella organization on campus. We have various groups that are "under us" such as the dance group (Esencia Latina), Latino Greeks, and many more. Not exclusive to just Latinos, we invite everyone and anyone of any race, religion, ethnicity, and sexual orientation. Our mission is to enhance awareness of Latino issues and heritage in the Temple University community; to provide forum for Latino students; to advocate for issues that have a direct impact on the Latino student body specifically and the Temple community in general; to provide support and resources to the Latino campus community; to facilitate and promote communication among members, to sponsor activities and events that ensure AdEL`s purpose; and to collaborate with other organizations within and outside of Temple University.
