Week of April 18
It's Spring Time!
Thank you Huffines for all you have done this week. We had an intruder assessment and we did great! Students were in the hallway and they didn't open the doors! YEA! Thank you for taking the time to reinforce the safety procedures with them.
We are entering mid April and May, the time of year adolescents can get crazy and restless. As you are lesson designing please think of high engaging lessons that have little to no down time. Let's keep them busy learning bell to bell. Let's finish even stronger than before. If you need help with a lesson or you need help with a student please know we are here to help.
Thank you for keeping your eyes and ears open. We need to continue to be out in the hallways so we are visible to the students. We also need to continue to be on time to our duty stations to ensure students are supervised at all times.
The next round of testing will be here before you know it, please mark your calendar for the next training dates. Thank you science and social studies for helping with the STAAR tutoring. Thank you elective teachers for taking on an advisory group so we can have small tutoring sessions.

Classroom Tip
I visited LHS-Killough last week and while I was in a classroom I noticed these things hanging from the desks. I thought what a great idea! Each pouch had a red pen, a highlighter, a glue stick, a pen, a pencil and an eraser.
8th Grade Field Trip to The Perot Museum
Thank you 8th grade teachers for taking the 8th graders to The Perot museum! They truly loved it. They came back so excited, they couldn't stop talking about all the great things they saw. Thank you Ms. Barnes & Ms. Ostrander for organizing the trip!
