Clark-Wilkins Boosterthon Fundraiser
UPDATE:
We made a profit over $50,000! Our Clark-Wilkins community is AMAZING! Our administration crushed it! Our teachers and staff rocked it! Our students blew the goals out of the water! Our families and community were incredibly generous! And our Boosterthon chair, Tracey Carroll, our very own PTA GOAT, made it all happen! Thank you to everyone that had a hand in making this a fabulously successful event!
PTA General Meeting
UPDATE: Our October General Meeting will be in person this month! Please join us at the Wilkins School Library on Tuesday, October 19th at 7:00pm. At this time, we are only able to invite adults to join us. Thank you for your understanding.
Ice Cream Social
WOW! That had to be a record turnout for a PTA Ice Cream Social! It was wonderful to see everyone! Thank you for coming out on this beautiful, chilly evening to enjoy some ice cream with the PTA, teachers, staff, administrators, and each other.
We'd like to say a special thank you to:
>PTA Volunteers- Always there to help, and we can't do any of this without YOU!
>Robert Allwarden- Our very own rockstar! Thank you for another fun performance.
>Teachers and Staff- You knocked it out of the park!!!! Scooping gallons of ice cream, the sprinkles, sauce, whipped cream...and ON TOP OF ALL THAT, jumping in with some of your own supplies when we started running low. This is what it's all about...working together as a team to do great things for our schools!
>Anna Parrill- Not just an awesome leader, but she has now proven herself to be a darn good ice cream runner. Thanks for heading out to get more ice cream when rations were low!
We are incredibly thankful to be a part of this school community.
Membership
As members of the PTA, together we are a powerful voice for our children. When you join the Amherst PTA, you join a community that encourages student achievement, and helps build partnerships between our families and schools.
****We've been having some issues with our Membership Toolkit database, so please use one of the PayPal links below to join. You can still update your information in MTK, but you'll need to use one of the links below to pay for your membership. Thank you for your patience while we work through this.****

Volunteers
There is a new process in place for volunteers, which will take a bit of time to complete (see below for details). If you would like to volunteer, we encourage you to begin the process as soon as possible.
In July 2020, the Amherst School Board adopted a new Volunteer Policy which requires potential volunteers to have a background check and be fingerprinted before being scheduled for volunteer duties. You can find the full policy here: https://www.sau39.org/site/handlers/filedownload.ashx?moduleinstanceid=4016&dataid=10231&FileName=IJOC_Amherst%20Only.pdf
Here's what you need to do:
1. Pick up a packet at the SAU office (the Brick School), and fill out the requested information.
2. Stop by the Amherst Police Department to have your fingerprints taken. No appointment is necessary.
3. Get your application notarized. The SAU office does have someone on staff that is a notary, but they are not in the office every day. You can call 603-673-2690 to find out their availability. The Amherst Town Library and some local banks also have notary services.
4. Bring everything back to the SAU office with a check made out to the State of New Hampshire for $21.25. Upon approval, the PTA will be notified, and you will be able to be scheduled for volunteer shifts.
Volunteer Positions Available
The Scholastic Book Fair is back at Clark-WIlkins!
The C-W Scholastic Book Fair will be held in the Wilkins Library from Friday Oct 22 to Friday Oct 29. We need parent volunteers who have already been cleared through the background check process to assist with the book fair.
Please check out https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0d4aa9ac2aa0f5c61-cwbook to sign up. Sign-ups are broken out by 40 minute sessions for each classroom teacher. In case you notice, there are some classes toward the end of the list that are listed twice - those are intentional and correct.
Make sure you sign up soon, as the options will go quickly!
And...
We still have some general volunteer positions to fill...it's a great way to make connections and have fun!
CW Lunch Volunteers
CW Room Parents
AMS Library Volunteers
And...we still need some Committee Chairs for the upcoming school year. If you are interested, or would like more information, please email us at: amherstptanh@gmail.com.
