Message from Mrs. Gray
Dear Salem Woods Families,
It’s time to register for kindergarten for 2023-2024
All Monroe elementary schools offer all day, every day kindergarten at no cost to families. Students attend from 8:55 a.m. to 3:25 p.m. State law requires incoming kindergarten students to have received current immunizations by the first day of class and be age 5 by August 31, 2023 to enroll for the 2023-2024 school year.
New families may register online for the current year. Learn how here.
Families with children currently enrolled can log into Family Access to enroll additional children.

PTA Sponsored Science Fair is here!
Friday April, 14 is the big day!
Students will need to be at school with their projects between 8:30 and 8:50 to set up or a PTA member will be available Thursday April 13, in the gym from 6-7 PM. Come to the gym and look for a table labeled with your grade. Students, remember to pick up and fill out the top part of the judging sheet if you want your project judged for a medal.
Three members of our community will visit the science fair to judge the projects during school hours; Mayor Geoffrey Thomas, Dr. Graham Jones, and Robin Staples. We ask family and friends to join us that evening from 6-7 PM to view the projects and for a few awards. You will be asked to take your boards home afterwards.
Students that are unable to attend the Student Showcase will be taking their boards home at the end of school on Monday April, 17. This will be the only day students will be able to take completed boards home on the bus.
Parents – be sure and send a note or call the hotline if you are picking up your student and this is different than their normal going-home routine.
