Welcome!
From the District Administrator's Office
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Joel Taylor as our newest member of the Flambeau School District Board of Education. Joel, along with Pat Anderson, were elected to three year terms last month.
You may already know Joel from the community, or as a member of the SHOT program, but Joel has also assisted the District previously. He has helped us confirm the identification of all school properties as well as advise us with our timber management.
Joel's knowledge, dedication to children and the outdoors, as well as his listening skills will be a good addition to our School Board. Welcome aboard Joel!
We are greatly looking forward to what the next year will bring with Pat's renewed term and Joel's election to the Board.

From the Principal's Office
THANK YOU DAKOTA MILLER!!
A Flambeau 8th grade student, Dakota Miller, was awarded $500 for winning the Lion’s Club Ice Fishing Contest last year. The money was to be given to the school and Dakota asked that it be used for water fountains that would accommodate water bottles. What a wonderful idea!!
The water fountains have been installed and students and staff alike love them! We are all drinking more water and will be healthier because of Dakota’s idea, donation and FISHING SKILLS!
Keep fishing, Dakota, and keep thinking like a Flambeau Falcon!

From The Athletic Director's Office
Pep Assemblies are a very important part of high school culture and a source of fond memories. As a rule most of us would associate them with athletic events and in particular tournament time. Well a different type of pep assembly was held a couple of weeks ago where we honored and celebrated our forensics and solo and ensemble teams that are headed to state. It was an awesome sight and we were able to host it outside at the track. Congratulations to all those multi talented individuals and advisors.
If you missed prom this year you missed a memorable event. Not only does our kids clean up pretty good but so does the school. One of the real proud moments I experienced while coaching was listening to a team chuckle that they were going to play in a "barn." After a pretty good loss I'm sure they will remember that thumping took place in the "barn." Saturday night the barn was in all its glory. Bales of hay, old wagon wheels, and an assortment of milk cans and mason jars decorated the commons and gym. Absolutely a proud and memorable moment for this farm boy. Heck, there was even a tractor in the parking lot, wat to go Jessie!
In keeping with the farm theme next week is FFA week. Our club has an event planned for every day. Last year our kids could be seen delivering fresh baked muffins to many families during their morning milking. And if you stop up to the school on Wednesday you will see a few tractors in the parking lot. I guess I will be breaking out the old IH 400.
