TITANS HOCKEY GEORGETOWN
VARSITY I SILVER TEAM
WELCOME TO THE 2015-2016 TITANS HOCKEY SEASON!
Welcome back to all returning players and families and to all new players and families, welcome to the Titans! Coach Willie Meaux has put in countless hours to develop this program and make this a wonderful opportunity for our kids and I know we are all looking forward to the season!
Coach Meaux sent out an email last week to provide important details for this season and to let you know that I (Janet Stone, mother of Ben Stone, #29) will be the Team Manager of this year's V1 Silver Team. My job is to help keep us organized and assist Coach Meaux and his coaching staff in any way possible. Please feel free to contact me at anytime at firstname.lastname@example.org or 202-550-8528 if you have questions or need assistance.
Once the season kicks off next week, I will send out weekly emails to be sure everyone is aware of upcoming events and to ask for game day parent volunteers to complete each game's scoresheet, man the penalty box and tend the clock during home games; we also need a volunteer to man the penalty box during away games. Please consider volunteering to do this now by going to this year's Titans V1 Silver Schedule and letting me know at which home games you will volunteer to man the penalty box, run the clock or keep the scoresheet and at which away games you might be able to help us by manning the penalty box.
Thank you to all of you for helping Coach Meaux complete the team roster last week by registering your players for USA Hockey. If you haven't already,we also need you to complete the Titans Registration Process by October 2 at the latest. In addition to selecting one of three payment plans and taking care of the payment process, you need to complete and submit each the following forms; 1.) Waiver of Liability; 2.) USA Hockey Consent to Treat; 3.) Player Questionnaire; 4.) Titans Player Academic Goals & Hockey Plans; 5.) You also need to forward a copy of your child's birth certificate. This must all be taken care of and sent to me before October 2 or you child will not be able to take the ice at our first practice You can scan and email all of the documents to me or bring the paperwork on October 2 to the mandatory parents' meeting (see below). (For those who have already completed and submitted to Coach Meaux, I have these, thank you.)
If you need uniforms, please fill out the Titans Uniform Order Form (included on titans.org within the registration packet or on the home page as a stand alone form) and send it me by October 2 and I will work with Coach Meaux to get these ordered.
The first practice for V1 Silver will be a joint practice with V1 Blue and V2 on Friday, October 2 from 6:30pm to 7:50pm at our home rink, Fort Dupont Ice Rink. Fort Dupont is located at 3779 Ely Pl SE, Washington, DC 20019
