Hillsboro Schools Summit Registration Reminder
The Hillsboro Schools Summit is designed to provide parents, community members, and our partners in business, higher education, and other organizations with an update on key activities in the district including student achievement results, Strategic Plan implementation, and our upcoming capital construction bond. The Summit takes place on Tuesday, March 14, from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m., in the Administration Center Board Room, 3083 NE 49th Place. A light breakfast will be served and Spanish interpretation is available. Please pre-register by Thursday, March 9.
Washington County Legislators to Hold Budget Town Hall on March 9
Legislators from Washington County have organized a budget town hall on Thursday, March 9, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at Beaverton High School, 13000 SW 2nd St. Beaverton 97005, to generate additional feedback on the Joint Ways and Means Committee's proposed K-12 budget of $7.8 billion--a level at which HSD would face reductions of more than $12 million in the 2017-18 school year. If you cannot attend in person, you may still submit testimony to the JWMC by e-mail or feel free to contact your legislator directly.
Daylight Savings Time Begins March 12
Don't forget: Daylight Savings Time begins at 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 12. Move your clocks ahead one hour before you go to bed Saturday night.
Additional Bond Open House Events on March 23 and April 6

Attendees will be able to view, ask questions about, and provide feedback on the draft bond packages the committee has assembled based on an in-depth review of available data on current and future capital investment needs within the district. Check the Bond webpage for updates.
