The Savanna

LOCATION
In the Savanna there are rolling grasslands scattered with shrubs and isolated trees. They are usually located between a grassland and a forest. They can also overlap with other biomes. There are savanna's located in Africa, South America, India, and Australia.
CLIMATE
The Savanna biome has a wet/dry climate. During the distinct dry season of a savanna, most of the plants shrivel up and die. Some rivers and streams dry up. Most of the animals migrate to find food. temperature range of 68° to 86° F.
PLANTS
Plants in the Savanna include many different types of grass because during the dry season trees cannot survive, in this case there are very little trees. Some plant species are Acacia Senegal, Baobab, Bermuda Grass, Candelabra Tree, Elephant Grass, Gum Tree Eucalyptus, Kangaroo Paw, Manketti Tree, Umbrella Thorn Acacia, Whistling Thorn.
ANIMALS
There are many animals in the savanna biome. Some species are African Elephant, African Wild Dog, Black Mamba, Chacma Baboon, Emu, Grant's Zebra, Koala Bear, Lion, Nigriceps Ants, Nile Crocodile
