The Patriot Premier
The Weekly Update for NPHS families, Dec 9 - Dec 14, 2019
"Blossom"
Blossom. /ˈbläsəm/ verb: "to mature or develop in a promising or healthy way." This definition seemed to fit our school last week. Students won American Government competitions, semester spirit point competitions, JROTC drill competitions, performed at the Band and Orchestra Concert, competed in Hockey tournaments, practiced for basketball and cheer squads, and prepared gourmet lunches...all this while growing academically in their classes. Click here to see much of these happenings posted on our school FB page.
Starting Monday, there are only 2 weeks left in the first semester! The last week of the semester is exam week; click here for the schedule. A reminder: Semester grades are permanent grades and are entered on student high school transcripts. Do you have a student who needs to pull their grades up? There are several voluntary* teacher-sponsored study halls for students after school...click here for the schedule.
Parents: We want your feedback. Click here to take a quick survey about a proposed 2nd-semester bell schedule change.
Be sure to check out all events coming your way this week (see below). Have a good one!
Sincerely,
John Fink
Interim Principal
*This means teachers are volunteering their own time to help students.
