Savvy Networking Team
A Note from Jenny
It is hard to believe we are almost to October. This summer just flew by!
First of all, for those who do not know me, I am Jenny Savage, your Origami Owl Director. We have about 1,000 designers on our team, and 36 of those designers are on my first line, meaning I personally sponsored them or they were assigned to me by the Nest. We also have 3 other directors on my team. If you received this newsletter, it means you do not fall under one of those other directors, but are in my immediate "generation". I am only sending this out to those in my downline who do not have another director taking care of them!
Please reach out to your mentor if you have questions or are in need of something. If your mentor is no longer active in Origami Owl, please don't hesitate to reach out to me for help. For those of you who are on FB, we have a great team page for my whole downline called Savvy Networking Team. It is a great resource and place to get your questions answered quite quickly if I am unavailable. If you would like to be added, please add me as a friend on Facebook. My FB name is Jenifer Syers Savage.
On a personal note, I have to say this was one rough summer for me and my family! It started out with my dad losing two of his younger siblings within a month of each other. That blow was devastating to him and our family. To be honest, I think most of us are still reeling from it. Then during this time, I developed some health problems on top of my "normal" issues I had been accustomed to dealing with. After a summer of many tests and ruling out some pretty serious things, I am thankfully just dealing with some painful cysts on my ovaries and some symptoms that are much like IBS symptoms. Right now, surgery is not in my near future as I am learning to manage my symptoms with some diet and lifestyle changes.
Why did I tell you all of that you may ask? First of all, I know many of you have been wondering why I have been slightly absent this summer. I did have to set a lot of O2 duties on the back burner while dealing with these issues. Second of all, I want you all to know I understand when life happens and business has to take a back burner! I definitely understand that more than ever! Third, I really want to encourage you if you are going through a difficult time. I learned this summer, once again, that you have to find that place within you to get back up and keep going no matter how hard life gets. Life is hard..really hard. It is easy to just sit back and want to quit, for whatever reason! But, life is meant to be lived and lived abundantly! Not just survived. I was reminded this summer as I lost one of my dearest aunts that life is so very short. The last time I saw her, she hugged me tightly and said, "I love you so much, Jenifer, we will definitely be seeing more of each other this summer!" That opportunity never came..she was gone 4 weeks later. Through a summer that brought sickness and heartbreak, I learned that life can change quicker than you think! Don't take your health or your loved ones for granted. I also learned you have to fight against the constant downward pull of negativity. You have to fight everyday to do the hard things even if you don't feel like it. I learned that I can't control everything..but I can control my attitude and how respond to those hurts. I will get back up and fight with everything in me to live this live with joy, gratitude, and love. I hope you do to!
