Student Self-Travel
Students choosing to self-travel to Princeton MUST follow these instructions AND complete this form BEFORE Friday, January 12, 2024.
We understand that extenuating circumstances exist; therefore, an email from a Skyward designated Parent/Guardian must be provided to the student’s coach or campus coordinator PRIOR to an event giving permission for your student to travel to and from the competition on their own. This email MUST come from an email account designated in Skyward as the parent/guardian email.
NOTE: The Competition must be within 25 miles of the campus for the student to be eligible for self-travel and the student must have a valid driver's license (not just a permit) that is shown to the coach prior to the activity/event in which the student will be self-traveling.
Also note that other students (other than a sibling attending the same activity/event) are not permitted to ride with my student.
Students Checking out from Princeton to go home with parents
Note that students may ONLY be picked up by a parent or guardian listed in Skyward or an emergency contact listed in Skyward. Students may NOT leave the tournament with anyone else.
Students who are being picked up at the tournament MUST have a parent/guardian/emergency contact come in to the building to sign the student out and check out with a District Adult Representative.
Adults picking students up should present their ID to the district representative to verify that the student is being released to the person allowed to take custody of the student.
Pick up at RHHS after returning to the school from the tournament
When students are 15 minutes from Rock Hill, we will ask them to contact their parents for pick up.
Please leave at that time so that you can be there to pick your child up when the bus arrives.
The bus is making multiple trips, but the adult on the bus must go back with the bus and get the next wave of students back to the school in time to compete.
If your student returns mid-day and hasn’t been picked up by the time that the bus needs to leave, the students will have to board the bus and return to Princeton with the bus to be picked up from there or be picked up at RHHS at the end of the tournament.
Other Important Information
We will have snacks for students, but if your child is going to be there for ½ a day or longer, please send a sack lunch or money with them to buy food at the concession stand. Also please send each student with a water bottle as staying hydrated is always important.
Students signing up to compete who don’t show up to compete will owe the registration and drop fees as the school has to commit ahead of time based on the student’s commitment.
