The Nurse

from Romeo & Juliet

Act 1 Scene 4

The theme that the nurse shows through the monologue is that people should be caring to the ones they love. "Go girl, seek happy nights to happy days." (p.1008 l.115) The nurse is speaking to Juliet and Lady Capulet because they are discussing Juliet and the subject of marrige. The nurse is so kind and caring to Juliet especially when showing it by telling her to seek happy nights to happy days. The nurse cares about Juliet's happiness. I connect to this acts scene by, my me and my mom always tell each other "have a great day!" everyday and things similiar to that because were showing we love each other and care for each other.

Act 2 Scene 4

"..and as i told you my young lady blade me enquire you out."(p.1036 l.68-69) The nurse is speaking to Romeo because she is communicating to Romeo for Juliet. The nurse is being and showing she cares for Juliet by taking the risk of getting caught sending/ communicating secret messages to Romeo for Juliet. I can connect to this scene in this act by, one time i ran down stairs when it was past my bead time ( when i was younger of course) to go tell my brother somthing for my younger sister, because i care about her and love her greatly.

Act 3 Scene 3

"Hie to your chamber. I'll fine Romeo to comfort you." (p.1055 l.150-151) The nurse is talking to Juliet. She is talking to Juliet because Juliet is upset over Tybalts death but mostly that Romeo is banished. The nurse knows how upet Juliet is over Romeos banishment and a little over Tybalt, So the nurse is very carring to Juliet so she goes to seek Romeo to comfort Juliet because she knows Juliet need and wants that. I connect to this scene by, one time i was really upset over my dad moving out and all i wanted was to see him so the next day she brought him over, because she cared for me so much and she was showing that.

Act 2 Scene 5

" Your love says like a honest gentle man and a courteous and kind, and handsome and i warrent a virtuous-" (p.1039 l.59-61) The nurse is speaking to Juliet about her messages from Romeo. That once again shows the nurse cares much about Juliet if she is taking the risk of sending secret messages back and forth from the Capulet's and the Montague's. I can connect to this scence by I would call my mom into the bathroom when i was little and ask her to go tell my brother or sisters somthing so she would run back and forth all the time communicating to other people for me, because she cared for me.

The play of Romeo and Juliet is written by William Shakespeare. The play of Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy. Its about two young adults from two different families that hate each other, the Capulets (Juliet) and the Montagues (Romeo). Juliet and Romeo fall in love and get married secretly. Their love ends in a tragedy by them killing their selves for each other. The theme is that people should be caring to the ones they love. This theme is going to be showed in my flyer by four events all showing that the nurse is caring to Juliet who she dear loves.
