Tiffany Ridge Families,

On Monday, you should receive an email from our school which will identify your child's teacher for the 2020-2021 school year. Your teachers have been very busy at school for the past week preparing for your student's return to school and setting up exciting learning environments, while also learning about many new strategies, resources and programs to bring your children the best learning experiences!

This year presents many challenges, however we have planned and prepared to provide a safe and productive learning environment for your students at Tiffany Ridge and for our students who will be learning through our online learning option. ALL of our Timberwolves are important parts of our team! In just two weeks we will be learning together!

Enjoy the rest of your summer!

Healh and Safety Guidelines

Please see the special edition of the Timberwolf Times that was sent to the community.

Back to School and Parent Orientation Night: VIRTUAL in 2020

Our traditional Back to School Night and Parent Orientation will be held in a virtual format this year. Each teacher has created a welcome video so that your student can "meet" their teacher along with a presentation to orient you to your student's classroom. This video will provide you with important highlights about classroom expectations, curriculum, and more! This information will be sent to you by email on September 3rd.

Kindergarten Kickoff: NEW Date!

We know that starting Kindergarten is a very special time for you and your new kindergartner! Unfortunately, we needed to postpone the date of our Kindergarten Kickoff, but it has been rescheduled! All Kindergarten families are invited to come to Tiffany Ridge to see our school and meet your child's teacher in person. To maintain safety guidelines, the visits are planned to be scheduled appointments on September 3rd between 12:00 and 6:30. Details on signing up for a time will be included when you receive classroom placement information on August 24th.

Birthday Treats

Due to our safety guidelines, we will not be able to have food or other items brought into the school building for birthdays or other celebrations. If you are still interested in birthday treats for your students, our Food Service has options available for purchase. Click HERE for ordering information.

Cafeteria Information

Students may bring their lunch from home or purchase a school lunch from the cafeteria. Menus are sent home on a monthly basis. You can access your child’s lunch account at www.schoolcafe.com.

Classroom Treats: To protect the health and safety of our students, homemade treats will not be distributed to students in the Park Hill School District. Due to allergies, food intolerances, and current health and safety guidelines, please consult your classroom teacher before sending any treats to school.

2020-2021 Free and Reduced Lunch Applications

Healthy meals help your children succeed in school. Your children may qualify for free meals or for reduced price meals. Forms are available in the office and will be in each classroom at Back to School Night. Guidelines for qualifying for free or reduced price lunches available on the Park Hill website, which you may access HERE. Online application forms may be accessed HERE. Please fill out and drop off at the front office. These forms do not carry over and have to be filled out each school year. Should you have any questions, please contact our School Social Worker, Mrs. Laney at 816-359-6229.

Student Transportation Information

For the safety of all our Timberwolves, communication is the key! Please be sure that you communicate with your child’s teacher the details of your child’s mode of dismissal transportation. Families must establish their child as one of the following:

  • Bus rider: Your student's ID badge will designate their bus information. A sticker with their bus number will be placed on the back of the badge on the first day of school. Please confirm your child's bus number with his/her teacher.
  • Car rider (loop A/B): All families will receive a car name tag to place in the front car window to assist teachers assisting with student pick-up.
  • Walker or Bike Rider
  • Adventure Club

During the year, please notify the school office of any transportation changes prior to 2:00pm. Thank you for your assistance!

Additional Bus rider information: On August 31st, our transportation coordinator, Lana Dudzinski, will be sending an email with information about accessing your student’s bus information. Our recommendation is for you to contact First Student if you have any concerns regarding your student’s stop. First Student can be reached at 816-741-4023 or contact Kay Burnos at kay.burnos@firstgroup.com.

Health Room - Medication

Our health room is available if your child becomes ill or injured while at school. All non-prescription, over-the-counter medication must be sent in the original container with a written request by the parent or physician. If for any reason your child is on medication, before it can be administered, the medication must be in a prescription labeled bottle accompanied by a doctor’s note. The medication is kept in the health room. The medication authorization form must be completed and signed by the parent or guardian for all medications given at school. It is recommended that medication NOT be sent to school with the children. Parents should schedule an appointment with Nurse Snodgrass to bring the medication to school.

Immunizations

Reminder from the health room: All students need to be up to date on immunizations BEFORE starting school on September 8th. Documentation of immunizations or scheduled appointment must be turned into the health room regardless if the student has elected to do online learning. No exceptions will be made. Please call the health room with any questions or concerns at (816)359-4404.
