Keller ISD Film Festival

The Keller ISD Film Festival is back and looking for student filmmakers to show off their creative talents behind and in front of the camera. Entries will be accepted January 5-February 29.

The festival is an opportunity for students to develop their visual literacy and expand their educational experience in Keller ISD by fostering the creativity, artistic, communication and technical skills required for producing a movie. Students have seven entry categories to choose from including: Story, Comedy, Music Video, Documentary, PSA Plus, and Animation.

Students have the chance to be honored at an Awards Ceremony on April 5, 2016, at the Alliance Cinemark XD Movie Theater. Students can win trophies, certificates, prizes, and more!

For more information on the Film Fest, including details on how to submit your entries, visit www.KellerISD.net/Film!

Current Reading Level Data

Please make sure your student reading levels are updated in our Google folder. If you are having trouble getting to your data sheet, let me know! The deadline is Dec. 18.

Reminders

* Students may not be told to "walk" at recess as a consequence. You may only withhold 50% of recess time from a student. Please see the Recess AR if you are unsure of district policy.

* Students should never be sent out of your classroom unattended for discipline. If you need to speak to a student privately, please escort them to the hallway but do not send them out of your room on their own.

CHAMPS Tip of the Week

Teachers and staff don’t forget about Mystery Walker Monday. Teachers should be looking for students walking in line following our RES hallway expectations. Teachers may choose a student before leaving the classroom to see if they will walk in triple “S” line to or from your destination, or you may choose one along the way. The chosen “mystery walker” will receive a special $2 Rattler Reward!

Reminder – If you have not put in you 2nd 6 weeks Rattler Reward totals to our spreadsheet please do so! Thanks a ton!
