I asked.....student answered....

What worked for you? I didn't really read enough. I am very busy and play hockey.

What can you improve? I need to read more.

What can I do to support you? I need help creating a plan to find more time to read. I also need my mom to help me with logging my books.

What is my reading level?

Level: W

This level represents the results of the Fountas & Pinnell testing done during Semester 1. Students will be evaluated again in April.

Making Time to Read

Abigail and I discussed why practicing reading is important. I compared it to professional sport players and how they practice to get better and maintain a high level of excellence. Abigail would greatly benefit from have a set time to read daily. If you would like my help, I'm more than happy to guide you and we can meet. Here is a article with information that might help:

Gwinnett County Public Library

Here are a few options to work with your busy schedule.

1. You can visit once a month. Did you know you can check out 75 books at a time?

2. Use the library's free online and digital resources, like Tumblebooks and Overdrive. Initially, Abigail will need help setting up the account information, but it should be easy after that.
