Bransford Blast

Terrific Texan Families,
Thank you to each of you who encourage our self-regulated learners by attending student-led conferences last week! Our Texans did an excellent job sharing their growth and goals.
Thank you also for donating candy for the first grade candy drive. Our Texans are learning to be global citizens by being excellent community members. The first graders donated all the candy to the GRACE Christmas Cottage as stocking stuffers for community members in need.
Friday's 50s extravaganza was a huge success! Thank you to all of the volunteers who set up the event, decorated, organized, and worked booths! The sock hop and carnival was great family fun for all!
Join us on Monday, November 6 at 8:00 a.m. for our Veteran's Day Celebration. Our second graders will pay tribute to our veterans by singing two songs and our choir will sing one song. After the short program, our Texans will line the halls to honor our veterans as they walk to the classrooms to join their Texans for circle up. A short reception will be held in the library for our veterans and their families.
This week is also our fall book fair. See below for shopping times. Proceeds from the book fair assist Ms. Boyd in purchasing more books for the library. Thank you in advance for your support!
Looking forward to an amazing week at Bransford as we continue to build an excellent school together!
Best,

Fitness Force
In an ongoing effort to increase our need for better health habits and exercise we are excited to announce the start date for Fitness Force 2017-18. Fitness Force is a fitness and health awareness club that will be working out every Wednesday from 2:55-3:45 p.m. We will meet November through December and February through April when school is in session. We will begin on Wednesday, November 1st and have our end of year celebration May 2nd.
Our outside program will be divided between walking/running a marked route and workout stations. We will have alternative inside activities on inclement weather days.
All students and families are eligible to participate. All members are expected to be active participants in the program.
Kindergarten students are required to have a parent or designated adult present with them AT ALL TIMES. Students in grades 1 through 5 may participate without a parent present. But we welcome and encourage parent participation at all grade levels!
In order to participate, all students must have a permission form completed online prior to participating.
Socks, tennis shoes and weather appropriate clothing are required. We ask that each student bring their own water bottle. We will meet in the gym after dismissal.
Healthy lifestyle habits, including healthy eating and physical activity, can lower the risk of our children becoming obese and developing related diseases such as heart disease, cancer, stroke and diabetes. Studies have shown our health can be improved by increasing our activity by just 10 minutes a day.
Please complete this permission form. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
