In the movie and play "Romeo and Juliet," Balthazar and Friar Laurence are at fault for Romeo and Juliet's death. Balthazar was at Juliet's fake funeral. But Balthazar didn't know it was fake. So with the false knowledge, he told Romeo,"I brought my master news of Juliet's death...," (Act V, Scene III). If the letter written by Friar had gotten to Romeo sooner, Balthazar would not have gotten the chance to tell Romeo the false information. Friar Laurence was also at fault because he was the one who married Romeo and Juliet in the first place. Friar had no hesitation trying to marry them, for he said,"Come, come with me, and we will make short work; for by your leaves, you shall not stay alone till holy church incorporate two in one," (Act II, Scene V,VI). If Friar hadn't married Romeo and Juliet, none of this would have happened and the two may have been alive.
The Movie "Gnomeo and Juliet" is similar to "Romeo and Juliet because it is based on two gnomes. A boy and a girl, that are in separate gardens. Just like the Feud. Both "feuds" hated each other and forbid anyone to communicate with each other. Then Juliets cousin Tybalt tried to kill Gnomeo, and ended up killing himself. In the end both Gnomeo and Juliet find love and live happily ever after. a MUCH better ending.

The song i chose is U2's "All i want is you" which shows the desperation of love that Romeo and Juliet have. The lyrics say,"You say You'll give me eyes in a mood of blindness,a river in the time of dryness, a harbor in the tempest. But all the promises we can make, from the cradle to the grave, when all i want is you," (U2). These lyrics mean that when everything is going wrong, they will always find a way to fix everything. They made promises to other people since they were born, but all they wanted was eachother.
