Our Week in Pre-K
4-16-2021
We spent time this week learning about the Earth and ways we can help take care of it and all of God's creations. We also learned about soil which is the top layer of the Earth. We were able to get our hands dirty learning all about what makes up soil and why it is so important. We looked and listened for the letter Vv and learned about Vincent VanGogh. We had fun drawing our own versions of his "Starry Night". Our CREATION STATION art center was filled with recycled items to repurpose into art and the kids made some amazing creations.
Our books this week included Soil by Chris Bowman, Why do Most Plants Need Soil by Ellen Lawrence, Studying Soil by Sally M. Walker, and Listen to Our World by Bill Martin Jr.
We will celebrate Earth Day next week and continue to learn about ways to reduce, reuse and recycle.
Have a great weekend,
Kelley Burke
