Bridge Research
The students in Mrs. Piknick's class researched different bridges online, as a part of their unit.
Partner Work
They had to work with a partner to find out specific information about the different bridges, based on what they had learned previously.
Library Time
The students were thrilled that Mrs. Idman let us use the library computers for this fun task!
Cooperation
Students worked in groups to create a bridge that a toy car could travel over.
Application of Skills
They put into place what they had learned about bridge types and their different supports.
Explanations
Each group then presented their bridge to their classmates, and explained the different aspects of their structure.
Making the Volcanoes
Mrs. Benoit's class culminated their experience of learning about volcanoes by building volcanoes with a group.
Eruptions
We then took the volcanoes outside to erupt!
Wow!
Some of them were VERY active!!

Success in Third Grade and Beyond
There are things you can do to help your child be successful this year:
- Study multiplication facts on a DAILY BASIS!
- Read every day.
- Use Lexia and Xtra Math at home.
- Review homework and offer your child feedback.
- Find some good Apps to help with these skills (and feel free to share them with us!).
