Middle School News - Fri May 7th
"If we want to keep doing this, we need to follow the rules"
Roletto's message for the week
- We are officially in the homestretch! Hang in there families, you have been amazing this year! Please reach out if you have questions about further assistance through the summer with basic needs, transition to high school or middle school.
Reminder that at midterm, teachers use this opportunity to connect with families whose student are having less success.
They will only post D's or NG (no grade)
NG - signifies that the student either turning work and not showing proficiency or not turning in work/participating to show proficiency.
Kellogg MS Community Meetings - NEXT WEEK
Greetings!
My name is Richard Smith and I am the new principal of Kellogg Middle School. I am so excited to be able to work with each of you and your students. Next year will be my 9th year as a middle school administrator. I speak/write/understand both English and Spanish. This is truly a unique and exciting opportunity that we have to build a new school together that will serve students from five different communities. So much work has already been done and there is still much to do. I know that together we will build a school and a program that will work for you and your children.
We will be hosting three community informational meetings about Kellogg in May. These will all be done via Zoom. The first will be on May 11th at 6 p.m. and will be in English. The second will be on May 12th at 6 p.m. in Spanish and the third on May 13th at 6 p.m. in Vietnamese. The links and information to join are at the bottom of this message.
I look forward to meeting many of you and to share information about this new and exciting school!
If you have any questions, please reach out to me at rsmith5@pps.net.

Other things to consider
- No scheduled office hours for students. Please contact your teacher via email or Remind with questions.
- No additional small group times as we had in our schedules before.
- Because of the demand on teachers doing both Distance Learning and Hybrid, please be patient with response time to your messages.
- We will send out new lunch bunch schedules as well as other clubs by newsletter at end of week.
