With Fun Fest cancelled this year, the PTO needs your support more than ever! Funds raised will be used to support all students and teachers at Meadows through Classroom enhancements, Student Planners, Field Trips, Assemblies, Staff Appreciation, 5th Grade Camp Support, 6th Grade Graduation Gifts, and much, much more. By reading and collecting donations, students will be eligible for prizes like $50 gift cards, $10 gift cards, class prizes, and more. Our school goal is to raise $20,000. If we reach our goal, Mr. Brickey and Mrs. Fenchel will get SLIMED!
Parents can activate student accounts at https://www.read-a-thon.com/readers/r/oANnDp . Please enter your child's HOMEROOM teacher, their first AND last name, and YOUR email. Once on their page, you can log reading sessions, make donations, or send emails to family and friends asking for their support.

BAND/ORCHESTRA ROTATIONS
With the hybrid students returning to a 5 day schedule, the Band/Orchestra Rotation will go back to the traditional schedule (pre-covid). This will affect both hybrid and virtual classes. Please see the attached calendars to see the Friday Rotation. Please note, that some Fridays will not follow the normal pattern to accommodate no-school days, and our upcoming 4th grade visits. We made every attempt to keep the rotation even.

NOVI EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION (NEF)
NEF "NO GO" GREEN GALA - MARCH 19-21
The Novi Educational Foundation’s 2021 Green Gala will not take place. Instead, Executive Director Jason Smith and Committee Members Elisa Endress, Trina Klassa, and Sue Schroeder invite you to support the NEF’s first ever “No Go”Green Gala over the weekend of March 19-21. Purchase “Give-Its” (donated tickets), become a sponsor, and/or bid on auction items to further our mission of enriching the educational experience of each student by supporting opportunities that require financial resources beyond the district’s contribution.
Proceeds will support students and teachers in the Novi Community School District by providing classroom grants, district-wide programs, and student scholarships.
We have held our annual Green Gala for 13 years. Although we cannot assemble in person, we are keeping the tradition of our Green Gala alive because our teachers and students still require support. Teachers have ideas that need to turn into reality. Students deserve additional learning opportunities. And it is your support that makes these come to fruition. So even though we cannot hold the 2021 Green Gala as hoped, we will instead celebrate our first “No Go” Green Gala.
By donating to the Novi Educational Foundation and our “No Gala” Green Gala, you are:
- Supporting the development of innovative new programming and educational opportunities
- Imagining the possibilities, Investing in our students, and Inspiring them to do more
- Bring the mission of the Novi Educational Foundation to new audiences

MISCELLANEOUS
ABSENT WORK
When students are absent, teachers will do their best to fill them in on the work they miss. Teachers utilize a variety of tools to keep students up to date on work (Schoology, Google Classroom, on-line planners, etc.). It is not feasible to have absent students Zoom into classes that are happening at school. In addition, teachers are not able to privately Zoom with students who are absent to reteach the lessons. A good time to get additional help is during
Academic 30. Teachers will provide the work that can be replicated to students upon their return. It is not always possible to recreate classroom discussion or activities.
STUDENT PICK-UP
PPE
- Students are required to wear a mask* while they are on the bus or in the school
- Students will be given short mask breaks when they are outside
- Hand sanitizer and wipes are available in each classroom
