Song of Evil
"The Devil Went Down to Georgia" by Charlie Daniels
"The Devil Went Down to Georgia" Lyrics
When he came across this young man sawin' on a fiddle and playin' it hot.
And the Devil jumped upon a hickory stump and said "Boy, let me tell you what."
And if you win you get this shiny fiddle made of gold,
But if you lose the devil gets your soul.
"The Devil Went Down to Georgia": Song of Evil
The song of Evil is much like "The Devil Went Down to Georgia". In the song it talks about how the devil is trying to steal all of the soals. Like Kino who murdered people, so in a way he stole there soals. He stole them because of the pearl and the Devil stole the soals because of the fiddles.
Song of the Book (Centuries by Fall Out Boy)
"Centuries" Lyrics
Some turn to dust or to gold
But you will remember me
Remember me for centuries
And just one mistake
Is all it will take.
We'll go down in history
Remember me for centuries
Hey, hey, hey
Remember me for centuries
Mummified my teenage dreams
No, it's nothing wrong with me
The kids are all wrong,
The story's all off
Heavy metal broke my heart
"Centuries": Song of the Book
Centuries is like the Song of the book, because everyone is going to tell the story of Kino and the pearl. In the song it says "some legends are told, some turn to dust or to gold. But, you will remember me for centuries." Even though it's a sad tale, people love drama. In the song it also says "there's nothing wrong with me". Which Kino kept on saying throughout the pearl, until his son died, and he realized everything that happened.
