WELCOME TO SPRINGTOWN HIGH SCHOOL!!


We are happy you are coming to SHS. We have three academic counselors.

After you have completed online registration, here are the steps you need to follow:


  1. Wait for your student’s counselor to contact you about setting up a conference to pick your students schedule. We will start calling on August 1st. Ideally, we will wait to contact you until we have received all school records from the previous school. That is the best way to ensure your student’s schedule will be correct.

  2. In the meantime, please visit the Counselor Corner on the Springtown High School main web page under Sites for You (left hand side) and review the Information for new students and parents. We need you to download and print out the Personal Graduation Plan.

  3. Please use the resources Programs of Studies (one pagers), 2022-2023 Course Listings, and the CTE Programs of Study to complete the Personal Graduation Plan to the best of your ability. Part of the counselor’s calling you to set a schedule will also be the building of your student’s Personal 4 year Graduation Plan (PGP).

  4. Wait for your counselor to call you to set up an appointment.

Fish Camp ~ August 11th

Fish Camp is an opportunity for freshmen and new students to Springtown High School. Students will get to find out about opportunities to get involved in clubs and organizations while attending high school. Those in attendance will also be able to pick up their course schedule along with touring the campus to learn where classes are located. The event will be followed up by a free hotdog lunch for students in attendance.

Email and Skyward Student Help Sheet

Students: In order for you to access Skyward for the first time you must have access to your school email to retrieve your Skyward password. Your school email password and Skyward password are not the same. Please follow the instructions below to access your school email first and then you will be able to access Skyward. Any questions please contact cmayo@springtownisd.net


School Email


New Students: Your email should be set up within 1-2 days of enrolling. Once you meet with your counselor, you will then receive your student ID.


For All Students: The quickest way to access your school email is to google “www.gmail.com” and sign in using the following information. Your email will start with the year of graduation last name first name @springtownisd.us. Example: a student named Chrissy Mayo who graduates May of 2020 her email would be 20mayochrissy@springtownisd.us Password for your email will be the first initial of your first name followed by the first initial of your last name and your student ID number (lunch number). Example: cm205586 If you do not know your student id number please contact cmayo@springtownisd.net


Skyward Directions

Your Skyward password is not the same as your email password and will automatically have to be reset before logging in for the first time or if you have forgotten your username or password.


*From Cell Phone

-Go to springtownisd.net

-Scroll down until you see the TEA logo and directly under that you will see the Skyward Family Access logo. Click on that and it will take you to the Skyward website.

**From a computer

-Go to www.springtownisd.net

-Scroll down and on the right hand side of the screen under the link to porcupine portal you will see the Skyward Family Access logo. Click on that and it will take you to the Skyward website.


-Click “forgot your username or password” and enter your school email address.

-Submit

If it says an email has been sent, go check your school email. You should receive an email from Skyward or a non reply email. Username should be right above the blue hyperlink to reset your password. If your user name doesn’t appear, typically it is your first.last name (must put in the dot between them with no spaces in between) Ex: chrissy.mayo Click on the blue hyperlink and it will prompt you to reset your password. Once that has been completed return to the login screen and enter your username and your password. Once you have logged in you can click on the tiles for the menu you are needing or you can go to top left and click on the green box with 3 lines in it. That will bring up options to choose from. (grades, attendance, ect)
