Let's Go Cardinals!!!
A Note from Mr. Moeckel
Concord Families,
I am excited to bask in the glory of October: Cooler temperatures, warm colors, and Cardinal baseball! From a Concord perspective, there is little doubt that the fall season is also the sweet spot for outdoor recess! However, the sweet spot of cool morning and warm afternoons generates a high number of wardrobe changes! We are working to organize our lost and found items for families to review. In the meantime, please take a proactive step to label student items with a name. Do so allows us to return found items! It takes a village!
The information below will help keep you in the loop!

Just a quick hello from the Concord library! We hope everyone is having a great start to the school year. Here in the library your kiddos sure are kicking it into high gear - we've already circulated over 3,900 books this year! I LOVE how much your children LOVE reading!
- We are thrilled that authors Dan Abdo and Jason Patterson will be joining us for a 5th grade author visit on October 3rd. We can't wait to hear about their writing process, their illustrations, and what inspires them to create stories! If anyone is interested in learning about these authors, please check out their website. You have the opportunity to purchase the BARB series through Webster Groves' independent book store, the Novel Neighbor, using this link!
- St. Louis County Library is hosting St. Louis's 43rd Annual Storytelling Festival in October. Check out this link for a schedule of events you could attend with your family. We are excited to share that our 2nd and 3rd graders will be receiving a visit from one of these storytellers on 10/14!
- The library is always in need of makerspace items for students to build and create with. If you have any spare ribbon, paper towel tubes, pipe cleaners, craft items, etc. lying around the house, we'll take it! You can have your child drop these items off in the library at any time. We appreciate your help!
- If you ever have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at lindseycalcaterra@lindberghschools.ws.

Concord Families,
We are excited to share that we will be featuring student collections in our Concord lobby display cases! Student collections can showcase anything from Lego figures, to books, to craft creations... the possibilities are endless! We hope this builds some community and fosters student belonging. If your child is interested, click the Student Showcase form for more details and to apply!
