Mrs. Noynaert's Kindergarten Class
Week of April 20, 2015
This Week in Room 508
What a beautiful day! I hope you were able to get outside and enjoy the sunshine!
We started a unit on plants and flowers at the end of last week and will continue to study them this week. We are attempting to grow lima beans in ziploc bags, and this week we will plant some grass seed in a cup to see if it will grow.
I will be out on Thursday to attend the 1st grade field trip with my daughter, Ally.
Readers' Workshop:
We are going to be reviewing all the skills we have learned this year. As the texts get more difficult, it becomes a necessity to utilize these skills when there are words/phrases we don't know.
Writers' Workshop:
We will be working on our poetry unit this week.
Math Workshop:
We are going to continue to study addition this week.
Popcorn Words
New this week: This week we will discuss the difference between long and short vowel sounds.
