Job Description/Duties

Civil engineers design and oversees large construction projects, including roads, buildings, airports, tunnels, dams, bridges, and systems for water supply and sewage treatment.Some other duties are to work in the office deciding what the final design of the build will be. And sometimes you work on the job site helping the construction workers do there job.

The environmental relationship between a civil engineer and the environment is to build and design buildings and systems to keep chemicals and pollution from destroying animals habits. Many engineers try to use products that are not destroying the environment.


Some advantages of being a civil engineer is you get your own truck all you have to do is put the company's logo on the truck.You get to meet with clients and can go to any restaurant you want.


A few disadvantages of being a civil engineer is that you may work a lot of hours trying to finish a job. Some others are you will always be pressured because you have to meet dead lines.
