Dear Bryant Families,
Mrs. Klock
Book Challenge From Mrs. Franzen
Every May it is a challenge to get books that are months overdue back to the library. So, let’s try a book round up now!
The class with the fewest overdue library books as of Monday, November 8th will earn a movie in the library!
On Sundays, an email is automatically sent to families with overdue books. Once a month I am messaging parents on Dojo regarding missing books. I conference with students each week about books too.
Thanks for your help getting books back or renewed.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Mrs. Franzen
Upcoming Parent Teacher Conferences- November 16th and 18th
Parent-teacher conferences are quickly approaching as we move into November. We are incredibly excited to provide you with a few options to consider as we move into scheduling them for your family.
The three options are as follows, and your classroom teacher will be reaching out to schedule.
In-Person Inside Masked:
Many of you have not had the opportunity to see your child's classroom or school environment. We would ultimately love for you to come in person if at all possible. For the safety of our staff, we are requiring parents/guardians to be masked. We also request that the in-person conference be limited to only the child and 1-2 parent(s) or guardian(s). We will be attempting to decrease the density of crowds at the school. We will message the use of multiple entrances and exits as well.
In-Person Outside/Playground (weather dependent):
In some cases, the use of a mask may not be a choice your family practices. Not a problem, we can then schedule the conference outside. This choice will be weather-dependent. If the building administrator decides that going outside is unrealistic on the day of the conference, then that meeting will be rescheduled to Teams.
Remote Teams:
In some cases, families may need to choose to do remote conferences. A Teams invite will be sent to your family to get this scheduled. Our desire is to see everyone in person, yet in some circumstances, the fragility or safety of the family needs to take precedent.
Please feel free to reach out to our main office if you have questions.

Upcoming Vaccine Clinics
Good Afternoon HPS Family,
I am pleased to announce that – with yesterday’s CDC approval of COVID-19 vaccinations for kids ages 5-11 – HPS is partnering with East Helena Public Schools and Lewis and Clark Public Health (LCPH) to host free vaccination clinics open to all children, regardless of where they attend school.
There are no residency requirements for these clinics, but pre-registration is required. The clinics will offer first Pfizer doses for children ONLY. Second dose appointments will be automatically scheduled three weeks out. Confirmation of second-dose appointments will be sent to parents via email.
Appointments are currently open on the LCPH COVID-19 Hub at https://www.helenamontanamaps.org/LCPHCovid19HUB/. Individuals can also call the COVID-19 Hotline at 833-829-9219 for appointments or questions. The hotline is open Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
All caregivers and children must wear masks at the clinic, which will be indoors. Vaccine recipients and their guardians will be expected to wait on-site for up to 30 minutes after receiving the vaccine. Please note that this in an indoor clinic (drive-thru vaccinations are not available).
