Week in Review
What a big week we had here at ECC. Starting with a homecoming parade last weekend and ending in picture day yesterday...and fun spirit days in between! We also had a lot of fun learning about Fall/Autumn and talking about the changes that are going to happen. Some day...We learned why leaves change colors and fall of the tree, why it cools down in fall, and some fun fall leaf songs. We took our learning outside and enjoyed a "Fall Nature Walk" using our eyes, ears, and sense of touch to notice the changes that are starting to take place. We also had some leaf blowing races using straws and leaves to see who had the most hot air! It was a lot of fun! We even threw in a fall sports favorite--football! And used our fine motor skills to work stickers and draw football shapes.
We're going to move mountains!

What's Coming Up...
Next week is a big one here for us at ECC, as we will take our big field trip of the year. We will be going to the pumpkin patch on Thursday. We have all permission slips and are ready to go. Please remember to have your child dress for the weather that day with tennis shoes and socks. To prepare for this, we will be reading a social story this coming week so we have a better idea as to what to expect. It will be some of our first times on the bus, so this will be an exciting day. We will take snack with us and have it while we are there. If anyone would like to donate a box of juice pouches or juice boxes, that would be great. Just let me know. The rest of the week, we will continue to talk about fall--mostly having some fun with scarecrows. We will read and enjoy one of my favorite books, The Little Old Lady Who Wasn't Afraid of Anything. It will be another great week.
