Reopening Update
In Phase 2, social distancing is a key to safety. For that reason, students have been assigned to one of two cohorts. Each cohort will come to school for a few hours of in-person learning each week. Notes on the procedures for creating cohorts was shared in a previous Leaf.
This Wednesday, March 17 at 6:00 pm, I'll host a parent meeting via Zoom to overview our plans for Phase 2 and answer questions you may have about the process. Please join me in that meeting (link below) and feel free to reach out via email with any personal questions.
In addition, our Interim Superintendent, Dr. Julie Olesniewicz also sent a Family Update last night. in it, she shared a tentative Phase 2 target reopening date for students participating in the Blended program in grades 7-12. Please see the Family Update for greater detail.
With significant changes ahead of us, I sincerely appreciate your ongoing partnership.
Thank you for all you're doing,
Amy Stanger

NASA News!
Claremont is one of 8 districts participating in a NASA Town Hall on March 18. In preparation for this event, students were able to submit questions they'd like to ask the astronauts. Of the 26 questions selected for the event, six were from CUSD students and two were from Sycamore! How exciting to have locally-raised Commander Victor Glover answering questions posed by our very own students, Nora Quisenberry and Amanda Moore!!
The event is being sponsored by Congresswoman Norma Torres. It will take place on March 18th at approximately 9:35 am. Many of our classrooms will be tuning in. If you would like to view the event, please complete the RSVP Form provided by the Congresswoman’s Office. The registration form may be accessed at tinyurl.com/RepTorresReachForTheStars.
