FROM MRS. BERICAL

Dear Skyview Families,

This was our first five day week of the school year! Our students really showed determination, perseverance and growth! Congratulations on a job well done!

This week Dr. Landis and I visited the cafeterias to discuss bus expectations to ensure the safety of all of our students. You can help be a part of this process by reviewing the general expectations with your child at home which I have included below.

Bus Expectations

  • Be mindful that the bus is an extension from the classroom
  • Language needs to be appropriate at all times
  • Once the bus begins moving, students are to remain seated
  • Voices are kept at an appropriate level so the driver can concentrate on the road
  • Photos and videos of others are not permitted
  • Hands and feet are kept to themselves

Lunch Lines

We recognize that the lunch lines in both Arcola and Skyview have been longer than what they should be in the recent weeks. We have identified the issue and are working with both the vendor of the scanning machines and technology to find a solution as quickly as possible. We are confident that the lunch lines will drastically improve as we come to a solution in the near future. In addition, students have been given and will continue to be given extended lunch time to finish their lunch if they are experiencing delays in the line. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your patience while we work towards a solution.

I wish you all a restful weekend after our hard-working week!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Berical
