“Building the Reign of God, One Child at a Time”
Dear Parents and/or Guardians:
HAPPY NEW YEAR! A warm welcome back to all students, families, and staff of St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Catholic School! We hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful, restful, and holy holiday season spent with your immediate family. As we look ahead to the start of a new year, a new beginning, we are presented with opportunities to change and to do what we need to do in a new way. Through this pandemic, we are reminded of how important our family is, we also need to remind ourselves why we do what we do and the importance of our roles in our Catholic community.
We also should take the time to look back and reflect on past accomplishments and consider ways to build on these accomplishments. The academic efforts of teachers and students have resulted in continued growth in student achievement. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to our parents and staff for giving their time and support to our students during the Christmas season. As we embark upon 2021, we are determined to continue to nurture our Catholic community where we encourage participation in the life and mission of the Church. As we move forward into the New Year, it is our hope and prayer that we as a community of faith, may rediscover and renew our relationships with Christ, the Church, and with each other.
We welcome those families who have decided to register their children in our Kindergarten or Pre-Kindergarten program. This is a very exciting time in your child’s academic life, and we take this as an honor to educate your child with grace and appreciation.
A reminder to our Grade 4 and Grade 7 parents, in the coming weeks you will be receiving survey letters from Alberta Education and Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools. These surveys help to guide the school’s yearly education plan, celebrate the many successes of our school, and provide feedback on the school’s overall performance in supporting your child’s Catholic education. Please take the time to provide this valuable feedback.
We look forward to our continued faith that captures the spirit of our school. On behalf of the entire St. Marguerite Bourgeoys School community, we wish you a blessed and prosperous year ahead!

Principal
Mr. David Griffin,
Vice Principal
