* Our rooms are getting dirty, as children are tracking in dirt from outdoors. If possible,

could you send slippers or indoor shoes for your child?

Math News

Students completed topic 5: Multiplication Facts use Patterns

Students learned:

* Ten as a factor

* Multiplying by multiples of ten

* Problem solving two step problems

Students reviewed:

* addition and subtraction with regrouping

* pictographs

* rounding to the nearest hundred

On Friday, students took a test over topic five. It will go home next week in Friday folders.


We are continuing the light unit. Students completed science activities using mirrors to investigate reflections.


Students participated in the HYPE (formerly P-Nut) program. They are learning about healthy eating and the importance of exercise.

Social Studies

Children continued to learn about how life changed for Michigan's tribes once they started trading furs.
