Walker Newsletter, November 3, 2023
Walker Bulldog Familes,
We made it to November! October was such a busy month. Please see all the event pictures below from many events that are happening at Walker.
We are seeing an increase in student absences and students arriving late to school. I will begin to schedule meetings with parents for those chronic cases. Please be aware that instruction starts right away. It is important that students arrive on time and ready to learn.
Below you will also find information with some upcoming events and reminders for the month of November.

Message from our Social Worker- Mr. Hofer
Dear Parents
We are off to an amazing start of the school year. It’s awesome to walk around Walker and see smiling faces. We want to see all smiling faces every day! Chronic absence — missing 10 percent or more of school days due to absence for any reason—excused, unexcused absences and suspensions—can translate into students having difficulty learning to read by the third-grade, achieving in middle school, and graduating from high school. This includes tardies as well! Tardies = time missed and it adds up quickly. If your child is missing too much school, please reach out! We can help!
In Partnership,
Mr. Hofer
Message From Our School Nurse- Mrs. Vazquez
