Winter Ready

Ready or not...winter is here!

We reviewed expectations for our winter wonderland (playground) earlier this week with students and we appreciate your help with reminding students of these guidelines at home.

  • Boots and snowpants are needed to play in the snow. If students aren't wearing boots and snowpants, they will be asked to play on the blacktop so pants and shoes do not get too wet for the afternoon back in classrooms. If any student needs any outside clothing, we are happy to find winter gear that can be used by the student.
  • Students should take care to avoid destroying other student's creations on the playground. Also, help students understand that we have over 300 students using the playground at multiple times throughout the day and there may be changes to creations that are not anticipated.
  • Students are not allowed to pick up and throw snow.

Thank you for your help in reminding students of these expectations.

Traffic Reminders

Winter weather also brings a little more traffic build up in the morning. We are going to be sending additional reminders after the new year but we are asking families to all please read and review this traffic patterns document. It is important that we all follow these guidelines as it will make our AM drop offs safe for everyone!
