How do You Get Strep Throat?
Strep Throat is a infection in the throat and tonsils. It is caused by a bacteria called Streptococcus or Group A strep. The bacteria is spread by a infected person coughing or sneezing.
Symptoms of Strep Throat
Symptoms of Strep Throat consists of a sore throat, a fever (usually 101°F or above), red and swollen tonsils, headache, pain, and red tiny dots on the roof of the mouth.
Health Effects of the Disease
It is an infection in the throat and tonsils. It makes your throat scratchy. It can also cause infection in the sinuses and skin.
How is Strep Throat Treated?
If you have Strep Throat your doctor should prescribe a oral antibiotic. It should work within 48 hours. If you still have pain, or a fever you should use Advil, Tylenol, or Motrin IB to lessen the pain.
