Drafting Studies Technology Transfer
For this project, students were studying Technology Transfer (when a technology is created for one purpose, but then used by someone else for a totally different purpose). Students studied the many inventions that we use in our homes and cities on a daily basis that were first invented by NASA. NASA calls them "spin-offs." Then they studied Buckminster Fuller and the geodesic dome. Each team constructed a dome in his style and then came up with other uses for it - Technology Transfer.
