Welcome to the Prairie Point Panther Press!
9th Annual Toy Drive for Kendall County Food Pantry
Many children within the surrounding Kendall County have something to smile about each holiday season thanks to the OESPA membership and so many others who make generous contributions each and every year. Due to the tremendous success and the desire to continue filling needs, the OESPA participated in its 9th Annual Toy Drive with the Kendall County Food Pantry to provide presents for local children this holiday season. The OESPA has provided wonderful support for this special charity and participation is always appreciated, especially by those who are in need. Over 250 gifts and toys were donated by our very thoughtful community.
Thank you for your generosity this holiday season!
Author and Illustrator Jacob Grant Visits Prairie Point
Prairie Point’s first and second grade students were treated to a delightful presentation by author and illustrator Jacob Grant. He read some of his books to the students and demonstrated his drawing techniques. And following his presentation, he read his most recent book to Mrs. Tellone’s kindergarten class during their weekly library visit. He showed them his techniques in drawing his characters. Our thanks to Anderson’s Bookshop in Naperville for providing this opportunity.

* Encourage your student to be respectful in line and watch for your car at dismissal.
* Display your student's name card in your car.
* Cell phone use in school zones is against the law.
Cold Weather reminder - Recess
Now that the cold weather and snow are upon us please remember that while we won't have outdoor recess on days when the real feel is ten degrees or below, please be sure your child is dressed appropriately for the cold weather including layers/snow pants if necessary, a winter coat, hats, gloves, and boots. As a reminder, students who do not have snow pants on outdoor recess days are not allowed in the snow.
Gym Shoe Reminder
We realize it is a little tricky this year to remember what days P.E. are because of the A,B,C,D,E schedule. Therefore, it is recommended that a pair of gym shoes are left at school so your child is always prepared. Please be sure the shoes have laces or Velcro.
Thank you,
