Sending organization: Euroaccion Murcia.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
In the last few years, Bali has seen an influx of entrepreneurs coming to the island and Canggu (a coastal town) in Bali is now being ranked as the number one destination for digital nomads. As a result, the island has seen an increase in co-working spaces being built and various events, workshops and training taking place. This project wants to look into this phenomenon and will involve researching some of the co-working spaces popping up on the island, as well as mapping some of the events, training and workshops. We also want to create a collection of interviews with entrepreneurs aiming to find inspirations from their entrepreneurial stories that can be done as either videos, podcasts or as written articles.
Additional to this, as an organization we are getting more and more interested in vegan businesses and entrepreneurs. We would also like volunteers to support a mapping of vegan travel businesses popping up not just in Bali, but globally. The aim of this mapping would be to create a database for vegan travelers to have a menu of vegan travel providers they could connect with.
Further to these two projects, we would need the volunteers to help manage our website and social media pages and bring them up to date, therefore it would be really important for the project that candidates have a strong working knowledge of English both written and verbal.
So, in overall we are looking for volunteers with specific skills to help with some of our projects. We are looking for people with digital marketing experience, people who have experience of making videos, people who are able to conduct interviews with entrepreneurs in the area, people who are able to collect data and do research, people with experience in managing social media platforms, and fun people with lots of enthusiasm and who are flexible to adapt to local life on the island.
Requirements searched in the volunteer:
- Proactive and flexible attitude.
- Open-minded
- Responsible.
- Motivated for living in a different culture, willing to adapt to the local habits and traditions.
- Aged between 18 and 30 years old.

We are here for your support. The first week you arrive, you will have an "arrival training course". The course is aimed at getting you adapted to the culture, preparing you for the tasks ahead, helping you get the most out of the placement, and finally supporting you to look at the next stage in your life about how this placement will help or has helped you.
LANGUAGE

You will be staying in a 1-bed studio with basic cooking facilities. It is simple and basic, and how most Indonesians of your age live; this is the challenge, to live as local as possible.
