What to do in Case of an Accident
What to do if these incidents happen
- If you break some glass, do not pick it up with your hands. Use a broom and dustpan then go over the area with a wet paper towel to get the small glass pieces.
- If there is a grease fire, do not pour water on it. Place the lid back on the pot or pan and turn off the heat source. You could also use baking soda or a fire extinguisher. If these do not work call 911.
- If you spill something, clean it up right away to prevent further accidents.
- If you cut yourself, apply pressure to the area to allow the blood to clot. Then place a bandage with antibacterial ointment on the area if it is a minor cut or go to the doctor to get stitches if it is a deep wound.
- If your sleeve catches on fire, stop, drop, and roll.
