Dear parent/guardian,
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year!!! We are very excited to see your child walk through the doors at Hamilton!! The custodial team has done an amazing job getting the building ready and the teachers are very excited for the upcoming school year.
GOODBYE MS. JOHNSON....
Ms. Johnson has moved to the Associate Principal at the high school. Ms. Johnson's impact on this building and our students will be felt for years to come!!! We all know that Ms. Johnson will have a HUGE impact on the building and culture at EHS!! Good luck Ms. Johnson!!! We will miss you!!!
MEET THE NEW PRINCIPALS
Mr. Melvin will be taking over for Ms. Johnson. Mr. Melvin has served as the Assistant Principal at Hamilton for the last four years.
Mrs. Huff will be serving as the Assistant Principal. Previously, Mrs. Huff was the fourth grade math and science teacher at Hamilton.

STAGGERED START SCHEDULE
Students will start on a staggered start schedule. The schedule is as follows:
First day for students with last names A - G: Wednesday, August 24th
First day for students with last names H - O: Wednesday, August 25th
First day for students with last names P - Z: Wednesday, August 26th
First day for ALL students: Monday, August 29th
As a reminder, doors open at 8:55 A.M. and instruction begins at 9:10 A.M.
2022-2023 School Hours: 9:10 A.M.-3:10 A.M. and Pre-K: 9:10 A.M.-2:10 P.M.
Car Rider Drop-Off and Pick-Up Procedure......
All cars for student drop-off and pick-up will pull into the Main Office area. This is located on Middle Ave. Please enter the main office area through the 12th street entrance and exit onto Middle Ave. The directional pattern is located in green on the map below. This allows for students to exit in the safest manner from the passenger side of the car and directly onto the school sidewalk. There will be a line so we ask that you be patient. The line moves quickest when everyone follows the right procedure.
If your student is a car rider on the way home, please sign up for a number which will help speed up the dismissal process and will keep the car line moving.
Walkers can enter and exit at the 13th Street entrance.
If your child is deemed a walker, please DO NOT park in the front lot by the Main Office for arrival and dismissal. In addition, DO NOT cross your student in front or behind busses on 13th street. We must make every attempt to maintain student safety during car and bus rider arrival and dismissal.
