Deadline to apply: December 13, 2019
***IMPORTANT***Selective Service
To help men register, they only need to go to SSS.gov. They can preregister at 17 years and 3 months of age and their registration will be held until their reach age 17. Why is this so important? Because every year tens of thousands of men turn 26 years of age who failed to register. By then, the registration door is permanently closed. That means they are unable to receive federally funded college loans and grants; are ineligible for many state and local government jobs; and immigrants - documented and undocumented- will have a 5-year delay in processing their citizenship application. 45 seconds online registering at at SSS.gov can save a man 45 years of headaches and heartaches. For students completing the FAFSA form, there is an opportunity to register for Selective Service while completing the form.
FAFSA is OPEN
- The FAFSA opened on October 1, 2019!
- I would recommend you try to complete this before Thanksgiving.
- You don't need to have finished your application to college or wait for acceptances to complete the FAFSA.
