Statistics from fall 2011 and spring 2012 semesters show that Gaston College students who use the Writing Center are more likely to complete their courses and earn higher GPAs than those who do not. Mark your calendars and come hear Devona's wildly witty alliterative poetry and stinging social commentary. You won't be disappointed! Devona is a member of Poetry Lincolnton and Women of Poetry, and has read with Poetry Hickory, co-sponsored by Main Street Rag and poet Scott Owens. She has been published in a variety of print magazines, including Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine, and has published a chapbook in addition to many stand-alone pieces.
