This past week during our Teacher Institute day, we had great discussions around what does it mean to be a CHARGER! We are now asking our students, staff, and families to help us in determining what vision best represents our school. This vision will help us in ensuring we are focusing on what is important to us in every decision we make together!

Please click here for the voting form! Voting will close on October 21st at 9 a.m.!!

Spotlight: Team 7B

As a team family, we are setting goals with our students to be the B.E.A.S.T. version of themselves. Using our school community and personal life to grow in the areas of Behavior, Emotions, Academics, Service, and Teaming. Our students will be working to meet their goals in each of these areas and earn each letter/area of focus once they meet their goal by exhibiting these qualities to "Unleash their BEAST" and become the BEAST version of themselves.

In science, we went on a world walk around our neighborhood to learn how we practice science everyday and brush up on these scientific skills!

Unity Day - October 19th

October is National Bullying Prevention month and our students have focused on being inclusive through positive morning announcements and student notes!

On October 19th which is National Unity Day, students are invited to wear the color orange—as a tangible representation of the supportive, universal message that our society wants to prevent bullying, and is united for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

On November 7th, families will have the opportunity to meet with their student's team or teacher for a virtual or in person parent-teacher conference. We will be using PTC Fast as the online conference scheduler to set up parent-teacher conferences. Parents will be able to sign up using this link after 3 pm on October 14th.

When you click on the link, you will select the conference(s) you would like to attend. You will then be asked your student's name, your name, and you must provide a valid email address. After that, you will receive an email inviting you to sign up for parent-teacher conferences. You will then need to click on the link in the email and select the conference(s) and times you would like to attend.

Morning Announcements!

Chargers! Are you interested in being one of the voices of our morning announcements? We are looking for any student, any grade, who would like to be in the rotation to share morning announcements over the PA with the entire Chiddix community.

Please remember you will need to be able to speak loudly, be energetic, and be on time for your morning slot. This is a significant responsibility as morning announcements set the stage for a productive day at Chiddix.

Mrs. Fitzgerald will call down all students who sign up for information regarding the next steps after you sign up.

The deadline to fill out the google form is Oct. 14, 2022!!

Help support our CJHS PTO Unraiser!!

Welcome to a new school year at Chiddix Jr. High! As parents/guardians, you are already a member of the Chiddix PTO and we are looking to all of you for your active participation this school year!!

Each year, the Chiddix PTO asks all families for a financial contribution to help our PTO. 100% of the money raised will be used at Chiddix for students and teachers. A suggested donation of $25 per family will provide extra support for CJHS students and staff.

The “unraiser” provides another option for parents and guardians to financially support the CJHS PTO since this is our one and only school fundraiser!! In previous years, your contribution has helped to provide funding for additional classroom materials such as document cameras for the Math Department, Digital Projector for the IMC, laminating materials for the office, and teacher appreciation days just to name a few.

Please complete the form below or contribute online via PayPal:

Any questions, please email chiddixpto@gmail.com. Thank you for your support of the Chiddix PTO and Chiddix Jr. High!
