District Announcements

Just in Time PD

Just in Time PD sessions for elementary teachers typically take place on the second Tuesday and Thursday of the month. However, due to spring break, the dates have been pushed to the following week. The K-2 session will be March 22 and the 3-5 session will be March 24. Both sessions will be held at Wilson Teaching & Learning Academy, 3:45 - 5:15. The sessions will focus on assessment literacy and strategies for reviewing previously learned content without stopping instruction to focus solely on test preparation. Employee Banquet Centerpiece

Please join us in creating a unique centerpiece representing your school or department for the 2016 Employee Banquet on April 21, 2016. The theme this year will be Tropical Paradise with the Stars - TPS.

The Beach Boys, Bob Marley, and flip flops are ideas just waiting to be explored. Please create a little sign indicating your school or department name and the name of your creation. Be creative and have some fun with this design challenge! Let that light of yours shine!

We will set up for the banquet the day prior to the event, so please deliver your creations to Ann Tomlins at ESC or to the Exchange building at Expo Square no later than Wednesday, April 20.

Kravis Art Camp

Enrollment for the Kravis Summer Arts opened on March 1, 2016. All registration materials are on the Tulsa Public Schools website here .

The camp is open to all students in grades 1-12. The elementary and middle school Kravis summer arts camps are held at Rogers High School. Students participate in dance, drama, music and visual art. The two-week camp culminates with a live performance and exhibition of student work. The high school Kravis summer arts program takes place at the University of Tulsa, in the School of Art building. College professors and high school advanced placement teachers offer a wide range of classes in Visual Arts.

Scholarships are available to all students in need. The elementary and middle school camps provide free lunch. Busing will be available from three hubs.
