*Team member leaving??? Don't forget to start planning a book to dedicate to the SVE LMC in their honor! Your team will share this book at an upcoming breakfast on May 29! Get with Annie Nierman for ordering. The book should be a surprise to your teammate. Krista Hall is adding the cover of the book to a slideshow, please email Krista!
*End of the Year Checkout: With the longer school year, Greg and I only have June 3rd to wrap up the end of the year. Please plan accordingly to check out of your classrooms.
*Crisis Text Line for Support (from Dr. Hill): Signs of Suicide (SOS) and the Crisis Text Line have partnered up. The SOS team at MindWise Innovations is excited to announce the recent partnership with the National Crisis Text Line, a free and confidential 24/7 support for those in crisis. Students can now text ACT to 741741 from anywhere in the U.S. to connect with a trained Crisis Counselor. This new resource will be added to SOS materials this coming summer.
*Elementary Assessment Plan (from Dr. Barger): The elementary assessment plan was implemented in January of 2019 at the recommendation of the LSR7 Assessment and Data Team. Based on feedback from administrators and teachers, we are moving forward in the following manner: For the remainder of the 2018-19 school year, all common assessments pushed via Schoology can be considered optional. Should teachers choose to use the assessments, they can do so via Schoology or via paper/pencil. Dr. Barger will continue to work with building principals and other IOT members to allow the feedback to guide the revised assessment plan for 2019-20 and moving forward. The goal is to ease administration of assessment(s) and gather meaningful data which provides student, building, and district feedback about student learning. Details of that plan will likely be communicated mid-summer or upon your return in August.
*2019-20 School Supply Guidelines: Please do not change the template, headers or footers. Our drafts need to be provided to Dr. Kephart by May 1st.
*SPRING FORWARD: NEW DATE Will be on May 30th! Here is the SCHEDULE from Jodi Mahurin! :)
