In addition, classes will meet with their assigned summer school homeroom teacher daily for additional group activities. The bulk of summer school instruction will take place Mondays – Thursdays from June 22 – July 23 with Fridays reserved for teachers to schedule virtual appointments with individual students and small groups.

As in past years, we will be partnering with Vernon & Southport Elementary schools. Registration is open now at this link (be sure to click on the Grewenow, Southport, Venon site) and you may register now through June 1 to reserve your student’s spot. If you have any questions, please feel free to call or email me at 262-359-6251 / I hope your student(s) will be able to join us this summer - I recommend this unique opportunity for all students entering grade 1-5 - and I wish you all a great evening. This is a great page to check out as there are many careers to explore.

Early Education

Seed Planting and Watching the Seeds Grow.

From Mrs. Lesnik

This week, in Early Education, students will be learning all about bugs! We will look at what makes a bug an insect, learning about how bugs move and what bugs look like! As the weather gets warmer, this would be a great time to get outside and explore some bugs in your yard!! See if your child can recognize the bugs from the stories and videos shared in this study!

Fun PE Activities at Home:

Multiple PE activities to try this week at home either by yourself or with a friend/family member. Be creative in what you use if you don't have the same equipment at home as what you see in the video. Have Fun and Stay Safe !!

From the Desk of Mrs. Becker (Interventions):

Mrs. Becker would like to give a BIG shout out to our Reading Programs( L.L.I and SIPPS, which are Fountas and Pinnel) as they have stepped up and placed resources (books and manuals) for online use during this unfortunate time. This has helped to create lessons which can be shared on Google Meet and Classroom.

Our teams at Grewenow are working hard together! They have answered technical questions, and offered support and guidance.

Tech Tip from Mrs. Beecher (Student support)

Mrs. Beecher provided this link to our students to help them use the select-to-speak on their Chromebooks.
